Honoring Terun Sabre Weed

As some requested, there is an online service for Terun Weed (GreenMountainBoy02), the spouse of Bill Harris (commonmass). The cathedral service at 3:00 is being paralleled here at the GOS. You are welcome to leave comments here or there, but I don't think I can tend both at once.

The service was beautiful, thank you so much for doing it and letting (2.00 / 8)
those who could not be there in person participate in spirit.

I found a lovely version of Amazing Grace (2.00 / 7)
in the Cherokee language, and posted it in llbear's diary to honor Terun's First Nations heritage that he identified with so strongly. Other moozoog might enjoy it, as well.

I posted this there and will share it here...my favorite hymn... (2.00 / 8)
"It Is Well With My Soul"
When peace like a river attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot Thou has taught me to say
It is well, it is well with my soul.

It goes on, but the first verse grabs me.  Our choir is singing this on Sunday, the harmony is hauntingly beautiful and as I sing I will do so in memory of Terun and in honor of Bill.

Peace and God bless all.

"Pin your money to your girdle and don't talk to strangers."  My Grandmom's advice when I went away to school.  I don't wear a girdle and have never met a stranger.  Sorry Grandmom!

Thank you for the love you put into this Wee Mama.

I was surprised and moved by how much it truly was a (2.00 / 6)
memorial service, even though online. The preparing stage is a mixture of thinking and feeling, but on the day, reading it and listening to the music, I found myself as much into the service as when I read morning prayer online - much more so, with the sense of the cloud of witnesses who were sharing it with me. I am grateful that it spoke to so many.

Thank you, Wee Mama... (2.00 / 3)
for providing such a wonderful service (in both meanings of the word) to the dKos community and those whose hearts are with commonmass (even as their bodies were unable to attend in person).

It was beautifully done..and the comments within made the heart both soar and sore.

It was a gift that not just commonmass, but the entire dKos community, will long be grateful for.
