Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.
Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).
The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.
So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?

NOTE: The comments page will split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. Good Saturday morning, Meese!
The sky is BLUE and we have SUNLIGHT today! Yay! Yesterday was the ugliest, grayest, sprinkliest day we’ve had in some time. Also it was 70 F. instead of 95 F., so I had to wear jeans and socks. Today the high will be 90 F., so I’m back to shorts.
Lack of exercise is getting me down, although I do try to walk everywhere I need to go on campus. However, I feel lucky to be alive.
I’ve finished my assignment for the next Writers’ Group meeting, so I will be free to devote myself to finishing the monologue about Varina Davis. I keep feeling so tired, though! Will have to look up “life after a heart attack” and see whether fatigue is a sign.
However, it’s a pretty day, going up to a summer-like 90 F., and I’m going to go rest in the green chair for a bit. Wishing a good day to all at the Pond!
{{{Diana}}} Walking everywhere you can is a good start. If you do treadmill, do a relatively slow pace for short periods of time. Check w/ your dr or physical therapist about how slow and how short. I do ~2 miles/hour for 10 minute stretches. But I do 3 of them a day. Of course I haven’t had a heart attack. I’m doing my best to prevent one. Healing Energy. Holding you in The Light.
