Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.

Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).
The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.
So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?

NOTE: The comments page will split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. Good morning, meeses! Saturday …
It is 55 degrees in Tucson 🌵 with an expected daytime high of 63. Sunny skies are in the forecast. Fullish moon last night bathing my sleeping area in moonlight. She was nearly overhead when I got up and I did not see her outside my office window until nearly 6:30am where she was sharing the sky with the pre-dawn.
Yesterday, both of the volleyball teams I follow, Wisconsin and Arizona, won their matches. Wisconsin is now in the regionals but Arizona would need to beat 5 seed Stanford to get there. That will have to happen when I am sleeping as it will be a very late game being in Palo Alto. Today I will watch the Arizona match from last night – I couldn’t watch it live because they were struggling in the 2nd set and I often jinx them when I watch them live. They lost that 2nd set but did go on to win the next two handily. If Arizona beats Stanford, they will play Wisconsin next which would set up a win-win where I can watch because either team winning would be fine. :) In Realworldia, Wisconsin has a good chance to go deep this year, the only reason they are not a top seed is because they had early losses when a key player was out. They are at full strength and ready to go.
I am done with a client project that ate up a lot of time and I am finally ready to install and run my taxes to see if I need to do something to make my taxes lower this year before I run out of time to do so.
See all y’all later!
