Apologies! Copied the weather part of this from another blog, should have proofread. Don’t how to delete. I wanted to share particularly hilarious supposed “skeet” from Gavin Newscom, but alas, I did not know how.
I wondered who these “squirrels” are that you were talking to! Isn’t that a blog that you and Bfitz share?
Used to share. It was created by a bunch of the Hillary supporters who were either banned or voluntarily left before they could be. (Squirrel because it was an alternative place to go besides Moose if/when people were banned from DK.) I wasn’t exactly banned from that one after a strong disagreement with the moderators but they did an upgrade and after that I no longer had access to the blog. I think they later moved to Discord.
Discord is a very odd name for a friendly blogging platform. Like chaos and loud voices would be fun?
As best I understand it, it was set up by gamers who wanted to interact while gaming before chat function got added to those multi-player on-line games. Sounds like the sort of name a bunch of young gamers would think funny.
Good morning, 63 and light clouds in Bellingham today and Elsa and I have been watching the tree branches and leaves move with the breeze. Hans is at PT and I hope getting some relief from the pinched nerve in his neck that is making it difficult to use his arms and his sprained wrist is still adding to that limitation. We knew this month would be frustrating for him so I’m glad he can be here as needed. Best wishes to all.

It is 106 degrees and sunny. Storm clouds all around us again last night but no rain here.
I spent the morning cleaning up a few clients issues then I took another trip into air conditioning hell. Today, I broke down and invested in a portable a/c because I can’t depend on the patches lasting. Buying this should guarantee that I never need it! If so, it will be cheap insurance. :)
I am hoping that tomorrow is quiet. I really need to invest some time into positive projects.

Good morning. Woke up at my old regular time of pre-4 am, so I got up, got ready and came downtown and walked. I think I’m adjusted to the heat enough that I can go back to walking. It’s 79 outside, which is what my thermostat is set at – and there’s a good breeze on the roof of the garage. So, I’m in the office, I walked nearly a mile and a half, ready for work.
It’s 80 heat index 85 but not too bad outside in the shade with the breeze. Sunny at the moment which is good because it’s going up to 95 heat index 100+ and I need all the electricity I can generate (and probably then some) for the A/C. Yesterday we did 16 KWHs, which means we lost a bit more ground, and the m-t-d at 153 is exactly on track. If we don’t generate at least 17 KWHs today, we will no longer be.
I assume my sisters got safely to Hot Springs yesterday. As usual in my family unless coordinating arrival times somewhere, no news is good news. It was indeed a lovely visit. And now I need to get back to normal eating patterns before my stomach totally rebels. Speaking of stomach’s Amelia’s currently using a weight loss drug that isn’t speed through a program at Stamford. It’s an injection – weekly I think – that kills her appetite – also unfortunately for the 1st couple of days gives her a screaming headache – and apparently has the wonderful side effect of treating her IBS. She’s able to eat vegetables hasn’t been able to eat in years. So that’s very good.
The boys are all sleeping or at least appear to be while Jenny kitten is batting various toys around. She’ll collapse soon. As kittens do. Run-run-run-zonk. LOL
Meanwhile Natalia just left for work. Even though she’s retired. The new program doesn’t hire the person who fills the position until after the original person is actually gone. Then hires the retired person on an hourly pay basis for a week to do training. So this is the first day for Natalia to do training. Should be interesting. And a little extra money coming in. Good Friday morning, Moosekind! It’s 80 F. and partly cloudy in Ashburn. We had rain yesterday evening, and may have more late this afternoon. Much more of this and we’ll catch up to where we need to be.
Just cooked and ate a large unseemly breakfast (scrambled eggs and Canadian bacon) in the hope that iron would show up in my bloodstream when I see the vampire later this morning, and (2), I’ll be able to do without lunch. I really need to go to the gym. I keep saying that.
Early dinner this evening with friends, then an early night, I hope. I need to contact a guy in Security about doing an interview with him for a story. I also want to call Fidelity. They’re making life difficult.
Have been throwing away lots of junk mail and so forth, in the hope the place will be tidier. Now, if I can just keep up with the dishes…

Good morning, 64 and cloudy in Bellingham today. Hans and Elsa are at their house watering the garden and maybe mowing the lawn. He continues to improve but sleeps better in the recliner here so they are here overnight. In a way it’s best for me too because I don’t worry as much when I can talk to him and see how he moves. Elsa is good company too, but I have a dog hairy bed. Oh well,she stays busy keeping track of everyone. Best wishes to all.

I moved back to the chair and ottoman and it’s fine for now. And tbh when he’s in “his” spot and I’m in mine it’s rather cozy :)

It is 104 degrees at 3pm. We are heading into a promised cooldown and rainy time. I hope it comes to fruition, we really need the rain.
I solved two client problems this morning and I feel like that is enough hard work. I have the new portable ac unit set up. I tested it and it will be fine to keep the main living space cool. The reviews said it was noisy but it is quieter than my last one. So far we have not needed it as we turn off the downstairs a/c when we go to bed. That gives the coil a chance to defrost and extends the life of the coolant. Fingers crossed that it will take us through to the middle of next week.
Hoping to hear something from Dee soon. Prayers raised for her healing.

Good morning. Getting ready to go to kickboxing, resisting doing any more tweaking to tonight’s music diary (orange place at 6pm central). We got the teeniest bit of rain last night, but we got a very faint rainbow out of it.
It’s 77 heat index 80 heading for 90 heat index 97 and more sunny than not at the moment. Yesterday we generated 17.81 KWHs and the m-t-d at 171.84 is still right on track to get over 500 for July.
It’s supposed to get a little cooler overnight – 68 around dawn – so hopefully I’ll be able to open up the house tomorrow morning. Be nice to get some fresh air in here. Good Saturday morning, Meese! Isn’t today the day of the match between England and Norway? Naturally I hope England wins, but if Norway does, that’s OK. I’m so amused by the Norwegians, especially Erling Haaland!
It’s a fairish morning, 79 F. We might have a thunderstorm at 5 p.m. and then again, we might not. I’m supposed to meet a friend for dinner and a movie tonight, just texted her. Have been rereading my old journals, preparatory to disposing of them, either by drowning or shredding. ‘Course, the Shred Truck may not show up before I leave for the U.K. Gad, I’m so amazed at how insecure I was in the 80s and early 90s! Glad that’s over and done with. I’d be tempted to skip the rereading altogether, but I’m finding photos, cards, invitations, and cute sayings by my children in the memoirs. Le sigh. Can’t wait to have done with that little project.

The last I heard is that one of Dee’s friends had spoken to her and she was very weak from her treatment. The friend asked for prayers and good intentions and for candles to be lit for her. I have turned over one of my virtual candles for the best outcome – I never wish for a specific outcome.
That’s the only thing I heard too – and yes, I also have virtual candle or three for best outcome.

It is 82 degrees in Tucson 🌵 with an expected daytime high of 99. There are a few clouds over the mountains but mainly it is sunny. The waning crescent moon was a pretty sliver in the dawn sky this morning – the new moon will be July 14th at 2:43am MST.
I took my walk early to avoid the heat and was rewarded by seeing a family of Desert Quail trying to avoid me! We are expecting monsoon storms all weekend, the weather guessers say 82% chance today, 74% chance tomorrow and then nothing below 80% the rest of the week. The quail and I would both appreciate the rain!
I have two days without client interruptions and I am going to get try to get ahead of my to-do list to make next week easier. It is likely that either Tuesday or Wednesday will be turned over to an a/c installation crew which will make it difficult to work.
