Week-long Welcomings from Moosylvania: May 31st

Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.

Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).

The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.

    Morning low of 63 degrees in the Desert Southwest 🌵 with an expected daytime high of 91. Sunny skies are in the forecast. The Blue Moon arrived on May 31, 2026, 1:45 am MST.

    Let's never forget this and other atrocities committed against the People of Puerto Rico by the US and it's agencies. Most history texts conveniently fail to mention forced sterilization and even outright experimentation on Puerto Ricans. Time does not erase crime! Demand Justice!

  3. Good morning. Did a lot of cooking yesterday, more preparing for the work week today. Meanwhile, relaxing & watching local news.

  5. At the library again – it’s hot, heat index is going to get close to 100 today – and totally pissed off at myself. I left my mouse at home so I’m very slowly trying to get stuff done using the mouse pad. I truly am not sure I can cut and paste things to boost things. I can RT, but QT may be an issue. sigh. Library’s not actually open, I’m in the coffee shop. Hoping when it does open they’ll have a mouse I can borrow. Meanwhile I’m off to do what I can before I need to scoot home to be there when basket gets there. Holding the Good/Healing/Protecting Thought for everybody {{{Meeses}}}
